Pete And Lynda's Open Mic. Every Thursday In Leyland

~Karaoke it has to be said has certain life shelf. There’s only so many times you can holler out ‘Paradise by the dashboard light’ by Meatloaf. Or pretend your Rick Astley pining for the 80’s with the classic ‘Never Gonna Give you Up’. Vocally too many extrovert performers are not exactly on a par with the late great Whitney Houston or have the stage magic that David Bowie created.

How would it be then if people got up and actually played an instrument and could REALLY sing? Thankfully, there is a night that focuses on such a talent and it has been reigning throughout Lancashire including Preston and Leyland for many years.

Leyland in particular is where we find ‘ Pete and Lynda’s Open Mic Night’.  You may be a one man performer or have several other musicians on board with you, fulfilling  your potential much  to the pleasure and  delight of an expectant audience.

Every Thursday Pete and Lynda host this special night. It’s held at The Wheatsheaf, Croston Road, Leyland. Instruments and PA set-up is provided so you  can get totally wired for sound and perform a series of numbers you’ve been rehearsing either as a solo artist or as a collective band.

It’s free admission and is held between 8.30pm and 11.30pm. Probably ideal thing would be to arrive early to book your place on the night. You’ll no doubt be part of an exciting billed schedule of local musicians not looking for the spotlight but just enjoying their own take on modern or archive music in a relaxed and friendly setting.

For more information contact Pete or Lynda on :- 07821 293 655. This could be your opportunity to showcase either your own original material or a series of covers to a pub of music lovers who support local live music.
