On Sunday 21stFebruary at 7.30pm  The Viennese Strauss Gala is coming to the North West. Hailing a sparkling new anniversary production this marvellous theatrical ensemble has enough pomp and ceremony than most period dramas on the television.

If you’re a fan of this form of theatre you’ll be familiar with the glamorous soirees, the Strauss waltzes and the majestic music. You can also experience the great Operettas of the Strauss family, Kalman and Lehar ( including Die Fledermaus and The Merry Widow. )

Vocally, this stage production is impressive. The European Orchestral Ensemble has enlisted four soloists from the major Opera companies,
( Opera North, English National Opera and D’Oyly Carte)

This epic showcase and it’s longevity is a testament to it’s competence and ability to invigorate the audience and thrill them with cleverly staged pieces and skilful choreography. The costumes wow in every act and there’s a guarantee this will appeal to romantic and music aficionados  from across  the Lancashire region.

To summarise this ‘must see’ show, one critic puts it very aptly,
"Beautiful costumes, excellent voices and some fine acting too".

That should positively wipe out those winter blues.
