Brian Cox To Blackburn King Georges. October 2016

Dec, 8 2015

~Space. The final frontier. We’ve seen stars, space and time epitomized in science fiction television programmes such as the classic Star Trek and Stargate. We’ve seen outer world realities in hit films like The Fifth Element and Star Wars ( which is also getting a revamp this Christmas). How would it be though to be educated and made aware of our cosmos and galaxy by a top professor, a lead in his field of scientific analysis.

Professor Brian Cox is an OBE. A British particle physicist and also a research fellow of the Royal Society University. He works on ATLAS experiments at the large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland and is a Professor at the University of Manchester. Basically, this guy knows his craft extremely well yet his humble nature has won the hearts of Britain with his scientific evaluations and his simple approach to his work.

The Blackburn King Georges Hall are delighted to have him take centre stage on Wednesday 19th October 2016 at 7.30pm as he exposes truth and thorough research proof  of a dazzling insight into his world.

Tickets are available now and can be booked by dialling 01254 582579. Or email events@kinggeorgeshall.com They are priced between £40 ( premium ) and £30 (standard ) There is a service charge for all bookings made with debit/credit cards and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Brian is probably best known for his science television programmes which have seen a boost in popularity in subjects such as astronomy and physics. These programmes have proved effective and ground breaking in the study and teaching method of Brian’s knowledge.

Next autumn ( Oct 2016) Brian brings to life his television concepts with a show that will test the limits of our knowledge and make highly complex ideas accessible to all. He will enthral and entertain for those of a scientific persuasion. Consistently dynamic and forever bushing the boundaries of what’s been proven and what will continue to be proven. This will confirm his excellence in commanding an audience to take them to a whole new dimension. Additionally, he will conduct an interview with co-host Robin Ince.

The King Georges Hall is based in the centre of Blackburn. Address, Northgate, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB2, 1AA. An array of local restaurants and pubs surround the Hall if you feel like getting a bite to eat before Brian’s epic showcase.

Expect Cox to take you on a momentous journey through space and time.
