Psychological matters don’t get any bigger than this next academic lead in her field of work. As a clinical and counselling psychologist ( HCPC registered ), a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist in the UK and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Dr Linda Dubrow Marshall is highly accomplished in matters of the mind.

In her home town of America she is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania, is listed on the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and has certifications in clinical hypnosis and consultation, EMDR  and treatment of substance use disorders.

Linda is also the programme leader for the MSc Applied Psychology ( Therapies ) programme at the University of Salford.  As a lecturer she thinks highly of her students and sees creativity in teaching and practice and believes in diversity throughout all sectors of the community.

With regards to research, she has looked deeply into cults and extremist groups with her husband Rod ( also a CCG member) for those affected or involved in such organisations. She has also developed her research in areas such as, virtual reality, ethical psychotherapy and recovery from trauma.

Linda’s one-one therapy has seen her in challenging and difficult settings ranging from prisons to psychiatric hospitals.

But it isn’t always academia that she thrives off. She also uses other avenues of therapy to relax her clients and make them feel at ease. The best antidote? Humour. Linda is no stranger to this excellent stress release and has even worked the comedy circuits by performing stand -up comedy!

We welcome Dr Linda Dubrow Marshall to the CCG with her analytical mind and light hearted character.
