The following event is catered especially for the above.
On Saturday 11th April the Preston Health Mela 2026 returns to the University of Lancashire in the Foster Building in the designated Foster Social Space. It will run from 10am -3pm. Entrance is free just arrive with a willing mind and body workout.
The annual Preston Health Mela aims to promote better health and wellbeing in the community with over 70 stall holders from the NHS and third sector.
The event is in partnership with the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing (NFHW) and the University of Lancashire School of Medicine and Dentistry. This year's Health Mela will also celebrate the NFHW 25th silver jubilee anniversary.
You don’t need to book a slot for the following free health MOT checks-
- Blood pressure
- Blood tests for sugar and cholesterol
- General health
- Oral health advice
- Reiki testing sessions
There will also be fun activities for the whole family including –
- A Bollywood style dance at the event's opening at 10am
- A smoothie bike, think you can cycle fast enough to power a blender?
- A teddy bear clinic
The annual Preston Health Mela in partnership with the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing and the University of Lancashire's School of Medicine and Dentistry returns this year.
