We all like a laugh now and again, I'm sure you'd agree. What if that laugh was a regular occurence in an established north west venue. What if it took treasures in the world of light entertainment to give you that winter kick.

Thankfully, Lancashire's comic greats are set to liven up and see the lighter side of life in the form of the 'Clitheroe Comedy Club'. Yes. The Grand on 18 York Street Clitheroe will be the home of this genre that has already brought much fun to places such as Preston and Manchester.

You could say that Clitheroe is on a smaller scale compared to Preston and Manchester but it is keeping up with the times with several new coffee chains in the town and with The Grand in the middle of it, it has since brought new credibilty to the town and reshaped it's status.

The first comedy club will take place on the 13th March this year ( 2015). Tickets are priced at a reasonable £12 and doors open at 7pm with the opening act on at 7.45pm

So who is billing it's opening night? Well, big names from the land of T.V. are set to dominate and tickle you. Justin Moorhouse ( young Kenny in 'Phonenix Nights' ) and Steve Royle ( Max and Paddy ). Additionally, support comes from Bill Woolland and the compere is Tony Vinto.
