Spotlight on CCG Members - Liz Manfredi - May 2023

May, 1 2023

You may have heard of the phrase, ‘You get nothing for nothing in this life’. Those words must have etched on the mind and heart of this month’s ‘Spotlight on CCG Members’ as she continues to make an indelible mark everywhere she goes. Let us discover more about Cheshire based Liz Manfredi.

As mentioned in the outset Liz is from Cheshire and this is where she is established as the Business Development Manager and head of sales and marketing for a highly successful IT and payment company.

Within this role she is driven to identify new opportunities for the company, which involves plenty of travel, as well as designing marketing campaigns and writing articles to enhance the profile of the company.

Of course, Liz is far from content, she keeps raising the bar. Her ambitions have found her being involved with the Cheshire Commonwealth Association, led by the Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, to encourage businesses in Cheshire to build relationships with the Commonwealth of Nations.

Liz also appreciates the need for growth and development in today’s youth.  She therefore has contributed greatly to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Skill and helped to successfully launch an exporting pilot day for young people, which in turn led to the course becoming a recognised Skill on the Awards syllabus, giving 300,000 young people the opportunity to learn more about exporting.

Inspired by the young people around her, she created original websites both for the DofE course and CCA amongst others and is always willing to help others complete ambitions or projects with any relevant skill she may have.

For senior citizens, she dedicates a portion of her time in a weekly call via the Age UK telephone friend service and is happy to donate time to others if they need it.

So, with all this activity surely Liz puts her feet up at weekend? Far from it. She somehow finds time in the garden and kitchen as well as looking after her family, including supporting her son with his passion for playing the trumpet and cornet across the North West.

Clearly, a very busy lady who has a lot to give to the world. We know she will continue to go from strength to strength as we follow her adventures on the CCG website.
