Snapshots of Adlington in the Age of Corona-
Jun, 26 2022
Ccguk member Ian Smith's photographic images from the pandemic.
In the spring of 2020 our lives were turned upside down and many of others felt scared in this new world we’d been introduced to.
However, as time went on we somehow adapted, became resilient and found strength in one another in this very unique time in our lives.
One area in Chorley, Lancashire felt the community spirit and thanks to Ian Smith and his daughter they have collaborated on a photographic arts project which captures the unity and love amongst the village.
A portion of the material is currently on display in Noah’s Café and reveals to the public the moving moments that had the nation gripped throughout the last two years.
Each hung image has the associated comments as written on their FB page. Within the attached artist statement is a link to all the material posted on to the FB page and presented as a virtual exhibition on You Tube.

We can all recall the rules and restrictions, most of us would like to forget. But this beautiful collage of images is a reflective tribute to a very emotional time for all of us.
