Chorley Park is a hit with locals

As the clocks go back this weekend and the weather looks increasingly dire the thought of nice days out in local beauty spots seems like a distant dream. 

 

However, as the months develop spring will soon be upon us and that gives us a chance to go for pleasant  walks with friends and family. 

 

Yarrow Valley Country Park located off Birkacre Road, has been praised by visitors. The green space covers more than 300 hectares and sits between Chorley and Coppull.

Yarrow Valley Country Park is of huge local historical importance. It was created on land previously used for bleaching, dyeing, calico printing and mining.
