Coordinated by charity Spring North, the holiday clubs will begin tomorrow (August 2nd) and conclude on the 29th. The clubs will provide a range of fun activities and a free meal for children aged 4 - 16.

Activities include the following:-
  • Games
  • Multi -sports
  • Dance classes
  • Djing
  • Arts and Crafts.
There will also be a range of sessions to help build resilience, aspiration and awareness. They will take place at a variety of venues in and around Preston.

Angela Allen, CEO for Spring North, reflected on the 2020 sessions and looks forward to welcoming youths for the 2021 summer season,

“Last summer, more than 2,300 young people accessed our holiday clubs across Blackburn with Darwen and we know from the feedback how important these sessions were in supporting families over the summer period.

The clubs are aimed at children who are eligible for free school meals and our holiday clubs are a great opportunity for young people to socialise and take part in a wide variety of fun and engaging activities, as well as receive a meal.

Our experienced partner network can support children and young people and deliver a wide range of activities to keep them entertained over the summer holidays”.
