Preston's St. Georges Church - Creation Crawl - during summer break

Jul, 23 2021

Schools break up soon and that means parents will need to find something to entertain the kids over the summer break.

Thankfully a local city has made positive plans to avoid anxious worry in the family household.

Preston’s St. Georges Church will host a weekly ‘Creation Crawl’ treasure hunt for the younger generation across the city. Throughout the hunt, participants and their families will search for letters in the windows of businesses around the city centre, leading them back to St. George’s, where they can collect arts and crafts packs.

Everybody is welcome and trail will vary each week. Over the course of the summers months, the church will display arts and crafts and award prizes while participants journey through the story of creation.

Interested ones should arrive at St. Georges from 10am - 3pm on Saturdays during the school holidays to collect clues and a trail map.

After a month a half the arts and crafts packs will reveal the story of creation and the letters will outline the weekly theme. Prizes will be allocated and the arts and crafts will be on view for visitors to the church.

Admission is completely free just make sure your young ones have a curious mind and are prepared to  do something which will keep them occupied during the summer break.

St. George’s is keen to attract families to Preston City Centre and they are offer engaging activities for young people as they interact with others around the city.

Through the arts and crafts, the church hopes that the Creation Crawl will combine an effective teaching method whilst at the same time create hours of fun.
