Care group selects MND Association as it's official charity for 2021

May, 4 2021

Making a decision about something really shows what is in our heart. When it comes to raising money for an organisation having a family link is vital in motivating you to do an amazing act of philanthropic work.

Alcedo Care Group recently opened its office at Fulwood Business Park. This year is has selected MND Association as it’s official charity for 2021.

They chose MND as one of it’s care co-ordinators because  Leanne Richardson is the niece of former footballer Len Johnrose who has the debilitating condition.

The team bravely took part in the ice foot challenge which included 10 staff and three clients. Len also participated in this courageous act!

Chelsea Bryans, care manager at Alcedo Care Preston expressed the poignant reminder of MND,

“As a company we care for people of all ages across the North West, many of whom live with various illnesses. When choosing a charity to support this year, we wanted one that linked to care and when Leanne suggested MND Association and how it supports her uncle, it was the natural choice”.

Leanne spoke  in behalf of her uncle,

“My uncle is truly inspirational and I am so pleased to be able to fundraise for the charity that supports him so well. His #icefoot92challenge has gone viral in recent week so it was good to get Alcedo involved too.
