New B&M store opens its doors to the public

Mar, 30 2021

When something new appears in our local town or city it can be greeted with either disappointment or jubilation.

Over the weekend a brand new B &M store opened it’s doors in Mariners Way at Preston Docks. The discount store takes the place of the former Homebase that resided there for a considerable number of years.

The new store includes a brand new garden  centre and has created 75 new jobs in the area, a real help to those that were made redundant in 2020.

On entering the building customers can feast their eyes on a wide variety of branded groceries at the best possible price.

Interested ones will be pleased to learn that there will be an excellent selection of the following:-
  • Health and beauty products
  • Homeware
  • Electricals
  • DIY essentials
  • Toys
  • Games
  • Gifts
New staff were asked to nominate a local charity they felt deserved some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Luv Preston to cut the ribbon on this enriching store for the Lancashire district.

Luv Preston is a local charity which prides itself on serving the city of Preston by looking after the vulnerable in the local community. Every Tuesday they run a homeless drop in centre at St. Wilfred’s Community Centre they continue to serve nutritious and wholesome meals.

£250 of B&M vouchers was also  rewarded to the team which will go towards helping the charity consistently endeavour to help transform lives for the better.

The store manager at  B&M Ribble expressed these words of joy in response to the news,

“It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors this morning, the feedback so far has been fantastic. A big thank you to the team at Luv Preston who helped us open the store, we that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do in supporting the local people”.

Explore for yourself the new B&M store as it seeks to enhance your garden and home this spring.
