Raising funds for MND with iPAD To Help Families Over the Festive Period

Dec, 8 2020

It’s bad enough not having physical contact with our dear families and friends but imagine how much harder it would be having MND, a seriously debilitating condition which makes communication so much tougher.

The Rotary Club of Longridge and North Preston have made the collective decision to cancel their annual Christmas Tree Charity fundraiser in response to the ongoing pandemic.

Instead, they are hosting a charity draw for the chance to win an iPad Air with all proceeds going towards Motor Neurone Disease (care of the Len Johnson Trust)

Len was a former Blackburn Rovers and Burnley footballer who has since gone public with MND. He was just 48 when he confirmed the news to football fans across the North West of England.

Keeping with the football theme, tickets for the prize are £5 each and the winner will be drawn by Alex Neil, Preston North End manager.

Organisers believe this will be an excellent tool to use over the festive period to keep families on a good communication level whilst still maintaining social distance guidelines.

MND are delighted to be the recipients of the fundraiser as 2020 as seen charitable efforts reach a slow decline.

Please note you will need to be quick as entries close today - December 8th at midnight and the draw will commence on Thursday December 10th.
