Two Teens Go Missing In Lytham St. Annes

Aug, 17 2020

We’ve all heard about celebrities going missing but when you hear about a story closer to home it makes you very concerned both for the missing and the families involved.

On Saturday evening (15th August 2020) two young men went astray upon the tides of Lytham St Annes close to the seaside town of Blackpool.

Three officials arrived at the scene including:-
  • Coastguard
  • RNLI
  • Police
These experienced patrol chiefs came in response to a series of reports which claimed three youths were drowning in coastal waters near St Annes Pier before 7pm Saturday night.

A 15 year old boy swam ashore and has since received treatment for suspected hypothermia.

Concern has built though for both a 16 year old boy  and an 18 year old man  who are both from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

The Lancashire police tweeted the following to try to reassure families and friend of the missing teens, it simply read,

"HM Coastguard and the RNLI are leading the search to find them."
