~The most beautiful thing a woman can experience is knowing that a baby is growing inside her. It’s a miracle of life. The closeness a woman will be to her unborn child is quite remarkable. She may be able to hear it’s breathing, a silent murmur or the beating of it’s heart.

To celebrate International Women’s Day a beautiful soundscape has been composed. Curated by artist Lubaina Himid and created by Rebecca Chesney, ‘Someday you’ll be sorry’ is an affectionate piece of music which will touch on the following five areas:-

  1. Familiar rhythms and sounds
  2. Unfamiliar calls
  3. Cries and warnings
  4. Some are close by and common
  5. Others distant and unknown.

It all takes place at The Pavilion Café on Avenham Park, Preston from 12pm Sunday 8th March - Friday 3rd April 2020. After the 8th March you’ll be able to experience it for a month at normal café open hours - Monday - Sunday 10am -5pm. Admission is completely free except of course if you’re buying refreshments.

The Pavilion Café is found at the bottom of Avenahm Park close to the river and not too far from The New Continental pub.

What can you hear? Are you listening?
