~If a person made enquiries about singing lessons in their local community they would either be part of a conformed school environment or visit a qualified teacher at their home in the  evening or weekend.

This may be appealing to some but for the more non conformist individuals they’ll be looking for something less controlled, more relaxed with the freedom to explore your creative self.

SOUND OUT is a weekly workshop led by an experienced vocal coach and music director. It is designed to teach your voice new approaches to singing whilst also increasing your stamina.

The sessions often lead to improvisation and unique interplay between fellow members.

Here are some positive responses to the sessions:-

  • “It’s a way of finding and exploring vocal sound making capabilities with expert guidance”- Tim
  • “It tests and extends your vocal capabilities through exercises that explore and stretch your range of vocalisations both as an individual and in the course of improvisations with others” - Andy
  • “It feels like I’ve had an extreme vocal workout and I enjoyed every minute” - Nicky

The next class is running next Tuesday 25th February 5.30pm - 6.30pm at UCLAN’S Media Factory Room ME011. Admission is £3 donation.

SOUND OUT is supported by the UCLAN Something for Everyone project.

This fantastic group ticks so many positive boxes. These include:-

  1. It provides and maintains well-being
  2. Is  a vocal platform for singers speakers, actors and the general public.
  3. Helps to builds confidence, self-esteem and empowerment.
