Louise Janvier is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Architecture Foundation course at the University of Lancashire. She also teaches in Hong Kong at the Tsing Yi and HKDI, VTC campuses as part of the flying faculty. She has taught design studio in Architecture, Interior Design, Art & Design, Graphic Design and Photography, creating exhibitions with students at the university for the 'One in Four Film Festival' and also for Tate Collective. 

Louise is a Site and Place Artist specialising in a wide variety of media often in collaboration with organisations including law courts, developers, and architects to create interventions that reveal the dynamics of space. During her teaching over the years Louise has exhibited artwork in the UK and overseas, exploring architectural sites and culture with a focus on urban locations and the historical development of our cities relationship with the architectural design process.

Louise has presented papers in Europe and America including ‘Between Data and Senses; Architecture, Neuroscience and the Digital Worlds’ conference ‘Making the Invisible Visible' with art Interventions that examine the Future of Public Art' and ‘La Citta globale’ AISU conference, University of Bologna following a collaboration with VTC Hong Kong and the UCLan ‘Superus’ project study visit to Tokyo and Hong Kong, Louise examined international teaching strategies combined with the experience of global cities represented in virtual environments.
