Lewis Ashworth

Lewis recently completed an MRes in History course at the University of Central Lancashire and having achieved a first-class honours in history & politics prior to that, he has a passion for historical research.

His masters dissertation centred on the British involvement in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1839), with a particular focus on the varied involvement of five Lancashire towns. It placed an emphasis on regional and localised studies in relation to the topic.

Other topics of interest to Lewis include radical and working-class history.

Lewis Ashworth’s interest in historical research has led him to pursue both local and family history research.

In addition to this, Lewis is very active in helping others in his local community, having been a member of Barrowford Parish Council since 2019.
