Zuleikha Chikh, University of Central Lancashire student Union President

Zuleikha is a Sports Business Management MSc student and Sports Activator at University of Central Lancashire. 

Her achievements include being recognised in the Top 30 Muslim Women in Sport Power List, Volunteer of the Year at Lancashire Sports Awards, UCLan Students' Union Sports Personality of the Year and award for Academic Excellence in the discipline of Sports Business Management 2019.

She has a strong interest in the power of building communities by using sport as a tool to bring people together from a wide variety of backgrounds locally, nationally and internationally.

As founder and chair of UCLan Women’s Futsal Club, she has 17 registered players who compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport league and 20 recreational players from over 11 nationalities. Since November 2019, she has taken her experiences from UCLan to Blackburn to engage South Asian females in football and futsal and empower them to become leaders.

Zuleikha’s current involvement in sport centres around football and futsal where she sits on the FA Female Asians in Women’s Football National Working Party, a candidate on the FA University Women’s Leadership Programme, member of the Lancashire FA’s Inclusion Advisory Group and a Kick It Out Game Changer.
