Tony Rigg

Tony Rigg is a music industry professional and educator affiliated with the University of Central Lancashire.
He has occupied senior management roles in market-leading organisations, including Operations Director for Ministry of Sound.
He has overseen the management of more than one hundred music venues and thousands of music events and as an artist/ music producer he has had tracks featured on chart topping albums.
He manages a portfolio of self-generated and collaborative music-related projects including Tony Rigg Consulting/ The Business Development Lab, his consultancy practice serving the Creative Industries.
Locally he is Festival Director for the Preston Jazz and Improvisation Festival, consults for UCLan Recordings and is Co-Chair of Music Research @ UCLan.
He has also set up and leads on a number of education programmes including UCLan's MA Music Industry Management and Promotion.
He co-edited and co-wrote the books Popular Music in the Post-digital Age: Politics, Economy, Culture and Technology (Bloomsbury 2018) and ‘The Future of Live Music’ (Bloomsbury 2020)
