Location: Preston | UK

My name is Sam Tyrer and I am the founder of an organisation called Change Talks. Change Talks main aim is to reduce the stigma, increase awareness and promote better coping strategies towards developing a healthier and happier mind. We are a North West based organisation who offer 6 week programmes to schools and colleges on early intervention and prevention of mental health issues. We also provide events for community, utilising lived experience as our main focus. On a personal note, I am a UCLAN graduate with a first class honours degree in Adult Nursing, along side a Doctoral student of Health.

I have recently received young citizen of Lancashire award, been on both 2BR radio and Chorley Fm and recently featured on Lancashire T.V. I also was selected Channel 4's series: SAS Who Dares Wins. I turned the idea of Change Talks into a reality within a 7 month period and I now talk all over the country about my own story and the work I am doing. Here are some articles below written about Change Talks.
