Lewis Smith Connell

From beginning university I sought a career where I could make a difference and gain valuable experience in mental healthcare; in 2008 I joined Lancashire Care NHS Foundation trust and worked on a myriad of different wards covering different acuity and diverse conditions. In my current role I am a Community Development worker. My role is to work with communities from an asset based approach to create cohesive and supportive neighbourhoods which promote wellbeing both mental and physical. I have worked tirelessly to build relationships with key individuals and organisations in order to deliver on these key aims in innovative cross disciplinary ways. I am proud to say I am continually developing professionally and personally to evolve my practice, understanding and skills and I am passionate about the field of wellbeing, which I believe is of vital significance for this generation and those to come.
