I have over 25 years experience working in health and social care and have worked in both the Statutory Sector and the Voluntary Community and Faith Sector. From 2011 until December 2014 I was a Commissioning Manager for the Central Team at Lancashire County Council.  In December I left my role as a Commissioning Manager to follow my passion for music and the difference music can make to people who live with a long term health condition such as dementia.  I developed a Community Interest Company called “Power of Music (North West )”.  As well as being the Director of “Power of Music (North West)” I am also a public governor for Lancashire Care Foundation Trust – West Lancashire.

From 2005 – 2009 I was the Chief Officer for West Lancashire Carers’ Centre.  In 2009 I began working for Lancashire County Council to manage a 24hr Emergency Response Service for carers across Lancashire called “Peace of Mind 4 Carers”. From 2001-2006 I was a Non-Executive Director with West Lancashire Primary Care Trust.
