I am a retired art teacher, but  currently work part time as a support worker in Adult Mental Health Services. I have an interest in social and political history and have had articles and essays published in a variety of magazines. I also contribute to material published by the Preston Socialist History Group. I am  a practising visual artist and have exhibited my work in solo exhibitions as well as with the Northern Lights Group. I am a lay Equalities Representaive for Unite the Union and a delegate to Preston and South Ribble Trades Union Council.
