The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is the national body for enhancing learning and teaching in higher education (HE). We are committed to excellent learning and teaching, supporting UK HE organisations with an emphasis on improving the student experience.
With a robust evidence base to underpin all our work, we:
- help individuals realise professional learning and teaching ambitions
- support organisations to achieve their strategic ambitions to enhance teaching and learning
- work across the sector to shape the future of HE
We bring together universities, colleges, governments and sector agencies to improve teaching and the student experience. On behalf of the sector, we manage the UK Professional Standards Framework UKPSF and a unique professional recognition programme to support the professionalisation of teaching and individuals achieve their career goals.
