I was born in Preston and went to St Maria Goretti and St Augustine’s primary schools and St John Fisher (now Christ the King) secondary school.

After leaving school I worked in the engineering industry for many years and am currently employed by James Hall and Company, working in their distribution centre based at Bowland View in Preston.

I have lived in Preston all my life and have brought up my family here. It has been a privilege to be a member of Preston City Council since 2004.

My Mayoress is my wife Barbara to whom I have been married for 34 years. We have two children and six grandchildren.
