~~Creativity is at the centre of everything we do. We use asset-based approaches to writing that zero in on what's strong in a piece. We do not criticise work, pick it apart, or try to fix it. We learn specific writing techniques that are accessible to everyone and that help out voices come alive on and off the page. We laugh a lot and have fun.

Reading The World participants meet for two and a half hours each week over a period of 16 weeks to write, give and receive strengths-based feedback, and learn specific writing techniques that enhance the power and expressiveness of their individual and collective voices. Our writers participate in an annual staged performance showcasing the work they've crafted and engage in multiple community outreach activities. We also train our writers/performers and others from the community to become co-facilitators of our creative writing groups. And we offer university students arts and asset based structured work experiences on community-led initiatives.
