True Order Tribute Act Blackburn King Georges This December 2016

Aug, 18 2016

~When the loss of a loved one occurs it can either break us or make us. In the music world when Richey Edwards of the Manic Street Preachers disappeared on 1st February 1995 it could have destroyed their career yet quite remarkably their resilience shone through and they continued as a three piece with 1996 album Everything Must Go to the present day.

Another band that rose from the ashes was New Order. Their previous incarnation was Joy Division but when vocalist Ian Curtis took his own life on 18th May 1980 at just 23 many could have assumed that that  was the end of Joy Division. Well it was but the surviving members decided they should continue under the new name New Order.

Fronted by Bernard Sumner the band went on to have hits including ‘Ceremony’, ‘Blue Monday’ and ‘True Faith’ all a symbolic testament to the legacy Curtis left behind and the unity and strength of the band to continue.

The good news is that Europe’s only tribute to the seminal electronic pop music pioneers  New Order come in the form of True Order and they are appearing at the Blackburn King Georges Hall on Saturday 3rd December 2016.

Expected to hit the stage at 8pm -2am the band will also play a selected number of songs from the Joy Division era. In total then the tribute band will play a set list that stretches back to nearly 40 years.

It will be based in the Windsor Suite standing only. Tickets paid in advance are £8 and £10 on the door. A service charge will apply to all bookings made with debit/credit cards (18 + ).To book tickets call :- 01254 582 579 or for more information email :-events@kinggeorgeshall.com.

The Blackburn King Georges Hall is based at Northgate, Blackburn, Lancashire. Nestled between a busy cosmopolitan town and a series of popular cafes and restaurants. Why not have a bite to eat or drink before the tribute act takes to the stage.

Attending a concert can definitely make us, especially if it’s with friends or loved ones. Relive the memories of Joy Division and New Order at this exciting gig.
