Creative Outlooks - The History of Apple Inc - The Fruit of all Computers
Aug, 21 2025
Do you use your personal computer for business pursuits yet take for granted the origin of it’s maker? For this month’s ‘Creative Outlooks’ I shall shed light on the History of Apple Inc – a multinational corporation that creates and markets consumer electronics and attendant computer software and is a digital distributor of media content.
To begin, please watch this 5 minute 42 second film chronicling the years 1976 – 2021 of the History of Apple Company and it’s principal founders Steve Jobs and Tim Cook –
From watching this you can see how the Apple Company developed and revolutionised the way we see and use technology in the modern era. Jobs and Cook saw a lucrative industry and their keen eye on the computer market allowed them to create a company that kept going after Jobs’ untimely death.
Since 2005, Apple's revenues, profits, and stock price have grown significantly. On May 26, 2010, Apple's stock market value overtook Microsoft's, and Apple's revenues surpassed those of Microsoft in the third quarter of 2010.
After giving their results for the first quarter of 2011, Microsoft's net profits of $5.2 billion were lower for the quarter than those of Apple, which earned $6 billion in net profit for the quarter. The late April announcement of profits by the companies marked the first time in 20 years that Microsoft's profits had been lower than Apple's, a situation described by Ars Technica as "unimaginable a decade ago".
We’re living in a digital universe so it’s inevitable more people will be technologically minded. More people are buying Apple software whether it be a smart phone, tablet, computer or watch, Apple’s revenues will continue to rise as people of all ages and most predominantly young people are connecting with Apple software.
As we saw in the film Jobs and co had little if any money to create the empire it has now become but through perseverance, ingenuity and a great mind for business they collaborated together and made Apple a success it is in 2025.
Computers are being used in the workplace more and more and students can utilise knowledge now which will serve them well into adulthood.
