Juliette Burton is a multi-award-winning comedian, actress, writer, performer, presenter and ex-BBC broadcast journalist.

Juliette’s show Decision Time sold 99% of all tickets for her full run at Edinburgh Fringe 2016. The show was officially sold out every day of the run and received critical and audience acclaim. Decision Time tours in UK and will appear at Adelaide Fringe 2017.
Juliette’s show Look At Me received 5 star reviews in national press in 2014 and was an official sold out show at Edinburgh Fringe 2015. She was nominated for the Talk of the Town Award for Cultural Impact by Scotland’s largest independent arts and culture magazine The Skinny. In May 2015 Juliette received the Argus Angel Award for Artistic Excellence at the Brighton Fringe 2015 for her updated performance of Look At Me.
Her debut solo show When I Grow Up was a 5 star, sell-out hit at Edinburgh Fringe 2013 and featured on ‘John Lloyd’s Quite Interesting Edinburgh’ as part of BBC Comedy Presents. She toured Australia for 3 months in 2014 with the show including a run at the
Juliette is a spokesperson for the Be Real Campaign thanks to her work on Look At Me. She has appeared on ITV’s This Morning with Philip Schofield and Amanda Holden, as well as on London Live and is a regular contributor to programmes on BBC Radio Scotland. She presented at the Body Confidence Awards 2014 held at the House of Commons alongside Gok Wan, columnist Viv Groskop and Jameela Jamil.
Juliette has gone on to work with TV & radio production companies on projects, some of which are currently in development. She continues to tour the UK and worldwide whilst also developing future shows in the Dreamer Series.
She studied journalism as well as acting and comedy writing and worked at IPC Media, the BBC, Archant Media and Telegraph Media.
Juliette has a lifelong history of mental health problems. She was diagnosed with OCD, acute anxiety, manic depression, bipolar, anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating disorder. She has experienced psychosis and agoraphobia as well as social anxiety disorder. She was an inpatient in mental hospitals/clinics 4 times, and sectioned under the mental health act aged 17.
She’s still in therapy, now blogs for Time to Change, MindFull and is a supporter of mental health charity Mind. She’s an ambassador for eating disorder charity B-eat and has worked with the facial disfigurement charity Changing Faces and body dysmorphic disorder charity B.O.D.Y.
Juliette is an informed speaker and able to talk confidently on the subject of mental health, using her experiences and strength to offer hope.
