Dr Linda Dubrow-Marshall is a clinical and counselling psychologist (HCPC Registered) and a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist in the United Kingdom and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In the USA, she is a licensed psychologist (Pennsylvania), is listed on the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, and has certifications in clinical hypnosis and consultation, EMDR, and treatment of substance use disorders. She is the Programme Leader for the MSc Applied Psychology (Therapies) programme at the University of Salford.  She conducts research on the psychology of undue influence and coercive persuasion (e.g. cults and extremist groups) with her husband Professor Rod Dubrow-Marshall, a co-founder CCG member. Her other areas of research include the therapeutic application of virtual reality, ethical psychotherapy, single session psychotherapy, practitioner self-care, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness, and recovery from trauma. Linda is an integrative psychotherapist with extensive experience in a variety of settings, including universities, prisons, addiction agencies, psychiatric hospitals, veteran agencies, and private practice. Linda values creativity in teaching and practice and has tremendous respect for diversity, preferring to formulate an individualised counselling treatment plan in conjunction with client preferences, expectations, and consent.  Linda is interested in the therapeutic uses of humour, and she loves to make people laugh, having done a few stints of stand-up comedy.
