The Continental Open Mic Night

Location: The Continental Pub - South Meadow Lane - Preston

Almost three years ago the world went into ultimate lockdown. This had a knock- on effect on many people including the entertainment sector where many venues had to cancel a lot of their live music.

It was very much a ‘closed mic’. This meant self -employed musicians and artists were out of work or had to look for alternative work to keep going.

However, time has passed. Vaccines have been rolled out and our immunity is stronger having had covid either once or twice in the last couple of years or so.

Therefore, pubs are welcoming back people for a pint or two to sit back with friends and family and enjoy some live music.

It doesn’t come any better than The Continental Open Mic Night. This takes place on the first Thursday of every month, so the next one will be February 2nd 2023 8pm till 11pm.

Whether you sing, play guitar, or do stand-up or spoken word, come along and take to the stage at the friendliest and best Open Mic Night in town, with hosts James & Typhaine.  Or simply come along and sample some of the finest under-the-radar talent Preston has to offer! 

Entrance is free – all are welcome, but seating is limited: first come, first served!

OPEN MIC

• Please don’t attend if you have symptoms
• Use your own mic wherever possible
• Use your own jack lead for instruments wherever possible
• The in-house equipment will be sanitised between performances
• Due to extra cleaning that is required we may not have time for all performances
