She was the only child of highly successful American singer Elvis Presly and actress Priscilla Presley.

Like her father she entered the music business in the early 21st century releasing three records. Her debut record was classified gold and she even released non-album singles, including duets with her father using tracks he had released before he died.

The untimely deaths of both artists draw an immediate comparison. When news was reported of Lisa Marie’s death this week (January 12th 2023) many insiders noticed she may have died of a similar cause that killed her father.

Her last public appearance had been two days prior, at the 80th Golden Globe Awards, which she attended with her mother. Presley will be buried in Graceland with her father Elvis and son Benjamin.

However, the legacy of her famous Dad lives on. ‘Tommy Holland – Elvis : As it Was’ will be performing all the hits on Saturday 11th March 2023 at Darwen Library Theatre from 7.30pm.

Elvis died at just 42 yet during his career he became something of an icon to many teenagers. He was in his mid-30’s when he had Lisa Marie and she left us at just 54. The cause of death for both father and daughter was apparently cardiac arrest so it appears it wasn’t just the music that was hereditary.
