Gary Stewart’s Graceland

It was one of the most ground-breaking albums of the 1980’s. With its ability to fuse a variety of music genres and catchy lyrics, it has managed to stand the test of time.

In the recording studio Paul Simon developed the unique sound of Graceland with a series of South African musicians. The record was partly controversial at the time having crossed paths with the apartheid movement.

However, Graceland (released August 25th 1986) became Simon’s most successful studio album and his highest charting record in over a decade; it is estimated to have sold more than 16 million copies worldwide.

Now nearly 40 years since its release Gary Stewart and his band are performing the album in its entirety.

‘Gary Stewart’s Graceland’ will do justice to the songs we have treasured for so many years at The Grand venue – Clitheroe on Friday 21st April 2023 from 7pm.
