Indie Tribute Night - In Aid of Shelter

Indie Tribute Night - In Aid of Shelter

Dates: 18 Mar 2023 - 18 Mar 2023

Location: Blackburn King George's Hall

Shelter is a registered charity that campaigns for tenant rights in Great Britain. It gives advice, information and advocacy to people and lobbies government and local authorities for new laws and policies.

Shelter helps people in housing need by providing advice and practical assistance, and campaigns for better investment in housing and for laws and policies to improve the lives of homeless and badly housed people.

The charity was launched on 1st December 1966, evolving out of the work on the behalf of homeless people then being carried out in Notting Hill in London.

In the five decades since it’s launch it’s helped thousands of people survive on the housing market and now 30 years since it began a pivotal moment in pop culture is being revitalised for the 21st century.

In 1996, bands like Pulp, R.E.M, James and Dodgy were riding high in the charts and for 2023 their tribute acts are about to raise the roof all in aid of shelter.

Indie Tribute Night will be performing at The Blackburn King George’s Hall on Saturday 18th March at 7pm.

Tickets are available to book from the following website link - https://bwdvenues.com/whats-on/indie-tribute-night-2023/

Shelter is doing wonders for the housing market across the country. Your attendance at this gig will demonstrate your appreciation for what they do.
