Art Open Exhibition 2022

The winter holidays have arrived for school children and young people across the country. Whilst the kids are going skating at the local ice rink and visiting the cinema with their friends, mum and dad are doing something quite mature and sophisticated.

They’ve already visited Blackburn Art Gallery and Museum for the Art Open Exhibition 2022 since it opened on Saturday 1st October but they are keen to visit it again before it closed to view a series of their art colleague’s work.

A selection of art work by amateur and professional artists based in Blackburn and Darwen is currently featuring in the Gallery's first ever Art Open.

Back in August Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery put out an open call to all artists, amateur and professional, to submit their work for what promised to be an exciting and diverse art show.

The exhibition is expected to run until 7th January 2023. It is open from Wednesday – Saturday 12pm – 4:45pm. Entrance is free.
