He was the larger than life singer who could belt out rock opera classics that were designed to pull at the heart strings.

Born Marvin Lee Aday or better known as his stage name MeatLoaf, he carved out a successful career in music and film and has been sorely missed from the limelight since his sudden death on January 20th 2022.

17 years prior to his demise a man named Craig Halford appeared on popular ITV show ‘Stars in their Eyes’ as MeatLoaf. He impressed viewers with fan favourite power balled ‘I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)

When the song was originally released on August 30th 1993 it went on to become number 1 in 28 countries, was a number 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK singles chart. It was also the best - selling single of 1993 in the UK.

It’s no surprise that it was an instant hit when Craig gave his rendition of it after he came through the smoke and became his idol.

Almost 20 years after Craig appeared on the show he is now regarded as the world’s premier show in tribute to Meatloaf.

Next year he is bringing his ‘Hits out of Hell – The Meatloaf Songbook’ to The Blackburn King George’s Hall on Saturday 4th February 2023. Doors open – 7pm.

This guy is a real ‘Dead Ringer’ for the talent that was, the formidable Meatloaf.
