Outsider

When a not so familiar band performs in a local pub they can often be deemed as an outsider.

But don’t be fooled. They have been around a lot longer than you realise and have gained sufficient experience to be credible artists and professional musicians in their own right.  

Since 2005, Blackburn’s Outsider have been playing the local pub circuits with their rich vocal harmonies and  guitar  synth driven alternative indie to create a sophisticated often classic sounding band.

The group were formed by longtime friends Dan Reid (lead vocals/guitar) and Grez Slater (drums/vocals). Frontman Dan wrote and produced debut album ‘The Maze’ which contains the winning song from the John Lennon Songwriting Contest "Understanding" and the follow-up 2019 album "ENTERtainMENT".

Now the band are set to light up the stage of The Continental pub on South Meadow Lane – Preston on Friday 9th September 2022 from 8pm -11pm.

These guys are no longer the outsider but the forerunners to champion anthemic indie rock from Blackburn, Lancashire.
