British Musical Fireworks Championship

This Wednesday 31st August marks the last official day of summer and what a summer it’s been. We’ve had some scorching days and even the threat of a drought and hose pipe ban. People have enjoyed spending time in their garden with family and friends over a summers barbecue.

On September 1st autumn will arrive and with it a sudden shift in weather, although it has been known for an indian summer to occur. It won’t be long before we’re changing our clocks again, coming home from work in the dark and lighting our bonfires once more.

That being the case, you’ll be looking for something to do to prepare you for the seasonal shift. Something slightly explosive yet appeals to the eye as well.

The weekend of Friday 23rd – 25th September comes Southport’s annual British Musical Fireworks Championship located in Victoria Park.

It’s an ideal opportunity to see the skies light up in a dazzling display set to some of the most iconic music you’ll hear.
