Rock AM River Festival

The late John Peel was pioneer in championing new music. He would unearth new discoveries in bands that were gradually coming up to the mainstream. In his time as a DJ he found artists that became giants in their craft.

If he was still around today he definitely would have played some part in promoting the bands that are set to appear at a Lancashire based gig very soon…

Rock AM River Festival will  take place on Saturday June 18th 2022 from 12noon till 11pm. Created by Preston band The Empire Police this new and innovative festival is designed to bring together the best in local and regional bands, DJs and independent businesses for an unforgettable day of music and arts.

Although you may not have heard of the majority of the bands scheduled to play, you will soon and this could be their big chance to make it in the music industry. John Peel attended many unheard of gigs but thanks to his intuitive ear and appreciation for good music he sought to get them played on national radio.
