He’s probably more known for playing grandfather roles but in his youth he was the Daniel Craig of his day. Yes, Michael Caine is a formidable actor who is able to turn any character into his own unique creation.

That proved true for the 1971 crime classic ‘Get Carter’. Directed by Mike Hodges ‘Get Carter’ is being shown at the HOME Cinema in Manchester from today (Saturday 4th June ) till Thursday 9th June 2022.

It’s part of the classics series the art house based cinema venue is screening. It’s worth seeing this film on the big screen to remind ourselves of the gritty realism of early 70’s based films and how they can be interpreted by an appreciative audience.
