In the past 6 years there have been a number of factors that could affect a  person’s mental health. Worry over the European Union, a global pandemic, the rise of living, climate change and fears over our future in response to the war abroad. 
 
What can a person do to positively channel all these negative issues? Since 2016 Breakdown Bolton has been helping those with long term mental health issues to get involved in art based projects in particular embroidery.

Currently running now until July 2022 is - Breakdown Bolton - By a Thread - a captivating exhibition of work in the Inspire Gallery - held in the ground floor café bar of HOME venue in Manchester. 
 
By a Thread is a collection of stitched photographs made by participants on Breakdown Bolton’s Dragon’s Den workshops funded by GMMH. The history of this art form dates back to the turn of the century, before technology made it possible to print in colour. 
 
Breakdown Bolton is one of the many groups HOME works with through the #HOMEinspires programme.
