Festival of Making 2022

Dates: 11 Jun 2022 - 12 Jun 2022

Location: Blackburn - Various Venues

The concept of making could be underestimated in the modern world. However, a festival which seeks to celebrate makers is soon to take over a popular Lancashire town centre.

The 4th edition of the National Festival of Making returns to Blackburn on the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June 2022 with a focus on crafty design and heritage.

Organisers have worked with makers, artists, manufacturers and festival communities to build a participatory festival programme that will encompass making of all scales. These include the following:-
  • Bookable and drop in making workshops
  • Art and industry commissions
  • Artisan craft and local food producers marketplaces
  • Community embedded projects
  • Celebratory music and performance
