‘Get Crafty’ - Saturday Free Arts and Crafts Activities.

If a child expresses a desire to be creative it should be encouraged. Drawing, painting or writing is a fundamental element to a child’s development. Parents are keenly aware that to have an interest in the arts you need to get the kids into art. 

 

Every Saturday from today ( February 19th - 28th May ) Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery are hosting ‘Get Crafty’ - Saturday Free Arts and Crafts Activities. It will take place from 12noon till 4pm. 

 

The sessions are drop-in based so the child is not fixed to the four hour duration. They are aimed at children from toddler age right up till 12 years. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult. 

 

The crafts will take approximately 20-30 minutes to create and the children can take home whatever craft they make. 

 

Please note- In response to the ongoing pandemic tables will remain 2m apart and will be for your group only. Organisers have asked parents to clean the table before and after use and to return the felt tips to a team member when they  have finished. There will be no shared materials and cleaning stations will be provided. 

 

It’s time to get creative with the Get Crafty sessions held at the Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery.
