London Calling - The Clash - Tribute Band

This December marks the 20th anniversary of the death of front man from The Clash’s Joe Strummer.
In the wake of his death and the year that followed in 2003 many well known musicians paid tribute to the fine vocalist and leading trailblazer of the punk rock band.
Less noteworthy group ‘London Calling’ was formed in 2004 as one - off gig for charity and to celebrate the life of their guitar hero. They got such a rapturous response that the tribute band decided to carry on and re-imagine the 70’s band in the 21st century.
The line- up became:-
- Reg Shaw AKA Joe Strummer
- Dave Devonald AKA Mick Jones
- Joe Guatieri AKA Paul Simonon
- Shane Tremlin AKA Topper Headon
The group have played in America and Europe and even featured in the Julien Temple directed Joe Strummer film biography :- ‘The Future is Unwritten’.
Recently they’ve experienced some great reviews and have played to bigger audiences across the UK.
