See My World
Dates: 17 Oct 2021 - 24 Oct 2021
Location: Online via - Contact theatre and various venues across the Manchester region
Unity. It’s something we all long for in our lives and it’s word that was tested amongst the African people over 7 decades ago in the North of England.
The Pan - African Congress was held in Manchester 75 years ago. Pan Africanism is described this way - the idea that peoples of African descent have common interests should be unified. In it’s narrowest political manifestation, Pan - Africanists envision a unified African nation where all people of the African diaspora can live.
It’s fitting therefore that an online, digital festival will take place soon to commemorate such a time in political history. Organisers believe the long term vision is create a movement which will promote and encourage self-determination and self - realisation of the UK’s African diaspora.
‘See My World’ will take place from Sunday 17th - Sunday 24th October 2021 from 12noon. Transmitted from contact theatre and various venues across the Manchester region it’s aim is to highlight the aspirations of the city’s Pan- African community and nearby inhabitants.
This will be developed in the following ways:-
- Debates
- Forums
- Seminars
- Exhibitions
- Performances
