Each year the Blackpool Illuminations draws in thousands to experience the wonder of magic of it all.  It’s ideal for young families with children. There is, however another event which will  amaze audiences till late in the evening. 
 
The Blackpool Lightpool  festival marks it’s return to the seaside resort this October. It will take place from the 15th - 30th of this month with a fantastic series of 16 new installations designed to impress on the minds and hearts of young and old alike. 
 
It is highly recommend that interested ones should walk through the installations to get the best quality experience. 
 
The following is a list of locations where the festival will take place:-
  • Blackpool Central Promenade
  • Blackpool Tower
  • Grundy Art Gallery 
  • Tower Festival Headland
  • The Comedy Carpet
  • Winter Gardens 
  • St. John’s Church.

If you are travelling by car you will notice there will limited parking along the seafront. Visitors are urged to use the part and ride facility at Blackpool Airport, which is also open at weekends and peak times.

All this excitement could mean you’ll need the toilet. The following information will assist you. There's a number of pay-to-enter toilets.
 
These  can be found between Festival House and the Information Centre  at the following locations:-
  • The North Pier
  • Central Car Park 
  • Bispham Tram Stop 
  • The South Shore near the Solaris Building
Shoppers can use lavatories at Houndshill Shopping Centre food court, Marks and Spencer and The Winter Gardens complex. 
 
The Blackpool Lightpool festival is back and it's bigger and better than ever for 2021. The public will be keen to immerse themselves in the  artistic light installations and shows - alongside the illuminations already shining bright.
