Lancaster Music Festival 2021

Lancaster Music Festival 2021

Dates: 14 Oct 2021 - 17 Oct 2021

Location: Lancaster

Two years ago we were living in a pre-pandemic world. You could do normal things like go in a supermarket without wearing a mask and you could attend gigs with large crowds without the fear of catching anything.

In 2019 Lancaster Music Festival put on an event that had become somewhat of a focal point for the town and county. Deemed as Lancashire’s biggest urban music festival it was sadly but on hold last year due to the pandemic but organisers have felt it was relatively safe for it to make it’s comeback  for 2021.

It is defined by it’s eclectic mix of:-
  • Music
  • Dance
  • Theatre
  • Arts

Complete with fantastic performances, workshops and exhibitions aimed at all ages.

Take a look at this four minute film featuring the highlights from the 2019 event:-
This years event aims to feature international musicians who now reside in Lancaster or are able to visit from other areas of the UK.

Here are some of the highlights you can expect to see for the 2021 showcase:-
  • A day of music at Lancaster Priory
  • World music featuring a Bollywood band
  • 300 performances by over 200 acts in more than 30 venues
Pubs have  had a decline in profit so it will be good to see them thriving during this period.

Event organiser Becca Pattison welcomes the event to the Lancashire region,

“ We are all keen to see performers and local businesses flourish again. The festival is a great way to celebrate the return of music and people coming together again in celebrating Lancaster Music Festival’s 13th year and all that the city has to offer with a variety of wonderful performances over the weekend. There will be something for everyone to enjoy,  no matter what age or musical taste”.

In addition, Lancaster Castle will be a focal point where festival goers will experience the Melodrome mobile stage to be enthralled by the majesty of  the local dancing and theatrical performances.

Young musicians will also get to make their debut appearance with a set of their songs. This is supported in association with Lancaster based record company Fear Records.

It all kicks off Thursday October 14th - Sunday October 17th  with music playing and events  going on throughout each day and night.
