Let’s Grow Preston National Open Garden Scheme

As the summer is rapidly coming to the end for another year there is still time to enjoy the wonderful plant life found in our gardens. A fantastic organisation has created an event designed to help us build our appreciation for the outdoor environment. 
 
On Saturday 4th September 2021 between the hours of 12noon till 4pm you can enjoy:- ‘Let’s Grow Preston National Open Garden Scheme at Grange Community Garden’. 
 
The gardens are located at Fir Trees Avenue, Ribbleton, Preston.  
As you explore the gardens you’ll find joy in the following things:-
  • Large poly tunnels
  • Vegetable and herbaceous beds
  • Orchard
  • Outdoor kitchen 
  • Pond 
  • Various willow structures
The staff and volunteers will be on site to answer any questions you may have about the abundance of plants available. 
 
Food and drink comes courtesy of the outdoor pizza oven. Tea and cakes will also be offered. Dried flower arrangements and many more nature inspired crafts are available to participate in. 
 
Admission is £4. All the proceeds raised will go towards the national garden scheme. This will help provide support to nursing and health charities in a year of crisis and supported charities doing amazing work in gardens and health.
